The DigitalDowsers, created by Joline Stone with The American Society of Dowsers, is an online, members-only, group of dowsers who post their thoughts and views on a variety of topics, but within the context of Dowsing and related matters, and with a higher level of consciousness that may be missing in too many online sites nowadays. Members can post round the clock, and from all over the world, giving the group an exceptionally broad platform to discuss issues from many different countries. There are presently no chapter dues, but we do encourage folks to join The American Society of Dowsers and to participate in their local chapters and regional and national conferences, if able. You can visit the ASD website at http://www.dowsers.org There are certain guidelines for the Digital Dowsers mailing list which we ask you to please pay careful attention to. Please go to the following link to read them: http://sites.google.com/site/digitaldowsers/list-guidelines They exist to help preserve the demeanor in an otherwise anonymous format, to keep the flow of email running as smoothly as possible, and to avoid any unnecessary use of public bandwidth. All forum messages are sent to a large number of people and it is important to be considerate and respectful of the intention of the list and the other listmembers. Those who find it difficult to consider the feelings of others will be dismissed from the group. Members are requested to use their real first and last names in correspondence with the group, as well as any private communications that may result from dialogues taking place on the list. Members have the choice of receiving the messages as they are transmitted, one by one, or in daily digest form, and to view the archives, which currently go back about seven years. Members are automatically reminded of their password on a monthly basis to help manage their account, and can go into their account to flag or unflag their wish to receive emails, such as temporary "no mail" status for vacations and such. Using DigitalDowsers
To post a message to all the list members, send email to digitaldowsers@photon.cc. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to DigitalDowsers
Subscribe to DigitalDowsers by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
